Villa Maria is a small, family-run guesthouse, full of charm and character, and has thus become a meeting place for many of our guests over the past 20 years, who return year after year. Here at Villa Maria we pride ourselves on providing our guests with a warm welcome, which is so readily described as Greek hospitality.
Our house is located only 50 meters away from the sandy beach at Agios Georgios South, amidst an abundance of wild flowers, shrubs and palm trees as well as our small private forest of cedars, pines, figs and walnut trees that gently slope down to a small river.
This natural playground offers your children many hours of fun, while you can relax with a drink on our garden terrace.
Behind the house you will also find a garden with deck chairs as well as the breakfast terrace with barbecue. Here we serve you breakfast with organic products from our own cultivation.
Adjacent to the corfiotically designed area is our bar with a wide selection of wine, beer, soft drinks, coffee, tea, etc. . The versatile artistic talent of Alexandra, the daughter of the house, is reflected in the design of the bar.
The Guest Lounge
With an unparalleled passion for interior decoration and furniture restoration, Alexandra has captured the colour and light of a Corfiot home, mainly influenced by Venetian Art Deco.
Much of the furniture that adorns the interior was made by master carpenter Ioannis Fantopoulos, a teacher of the younger generation of local carpenters and also Alexandra’s grandfather. On the northern wall is the family tree with many b/w photographs of the family. The imposing fireplace in the centre of the room is made of cast iron and decorated with stones from the family’s estate. This area is sure to catch your eye.
Villa Maria has 7 double rooms, one family room for 3-4 persons and 3 apartments with 2 rooms for 4 persons, all with private bathroom. Each room has a balcony with seating overlooking the sea or the garden. All rooms have been designed in a personal, individual style by Alexandra and will provide you with a pleasant and comfortable stay.
